Who we are

DrawBuddies is an iOS drawing app for kids developed by Anas Almomany. This policy describes how the app handles (or rather, does not handle) your data.

Information we do NOT collect

DrawBuddies does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of the following:

Names, email addresses, or any contact information
Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or IP addresses
Location data
Usage analytics or crash reports sent to us or any third party
Drawings or artwork created in the app
Any other personal information about the child or parent/guardian

There are no user accounts, no sign-up, and no login.

Data stored on your device

Drawings and artwork are saved only on the local device using standard iOS storage. This data never leaves the device except when a parent or guardian explicitly chooses to share it (see "Sharing" below).

Together mode and local networking

DrawBuddies includes a "Together" mode that lets two or more nearby devices share a drawing canvas. Depending on what's available, devices connect over the same local Wi-Fi network, peer-to-peer Wi-Fi (no shared network needed — just Wi-Fi turned on), or Bluetooth. This feature uses Apple's Multipeer Connectivity framework.

Drawing data is sent directly between nearby devices — over local Wi-Fi, peer-to-peer Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth. It does not pass through any server operated by us or any third party.
All Together mode traffic is end-to-end encrypted by the app, including connections made over Bluetooth.
Devices are identified in Together mode by short, playful generated names (such as "Orange Penguin") — not real names entered by users.
No Together mode data is logged or retained anywhere beyond the devices involved in the session.

Sharing artwork

A child can share a drawing using the standard iOS Share Sheet (for example, to save it to the Camera Roll or send it via Messages). This action is protected by a parental gate — an adult must press and hold to unlock sharing. The share is initiated entirely by the user through iOS and is not mediated by DrawBuddies or any service we operate.

Advertising and in-app purchases

DrawBuddies contains no advertising of any kind and no in-app purchases.

Third-party SDKs and services

DrawBuddies includes no third-party SDKs, analytics libraries, crash-reporting tools, or tracking frameworks. The only external framework used is Apple's Multipeer Connectivity, which is part of iOS itself.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

DrawBuddies is designed to be used by children. Because we collect no personal information from any user — child or adult — the app is fully consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations in other jurisdictions. There is nothing to disclose, share, or delete because no data is ever collected.

Outbound links (for example, links to this privacy policy) are protected by a parental gate requiring an adult press-and-hold gesture before the device leaves the app.

Data retention

We retain no data. Artwork stored locally on your device can be deleted at any time by deleting the app.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, we will update the effective date above. Because we collect no data, a material change would require a significant change to how the app works. We will post any updated policy here.
